CYCLES OF LIFE is a full service bike shop located in Leadville, Colorado, high in the Rocky Mountains. We are situated at 10,152 feet above sea level, and surrounded by mountain peaks ranging from 12,000 to 14,443′. Our service shop specializes in all types of repair, minor and major, including custom bike builds, tune-ups, custom wheel building, suspension and fork overhauls, bike fitting and more with most parts in stock. We sell bikes and frames from Niner, Rocky Mountain, Salsa, Moots, REEB, Borealis and a few others. We are dedicated to ensure that whether you’re new to biking or you’re a pro, that you will be taken well care of. We love biking and are passionate about what we do. Meet Brian

One thing's for sure, I live to ride my bike and I love bikes! I grew up in Minnesota where I obtained my first bike shop job while attending college. As soon as I was done with school, I immediately headed west. I lived in Montana, Utah, and thanks to a great friend I discovered Leadville. I visited a few times, broke my bike, couldn't get it fixed, wondered if a proper bike shop would make it, picked up my belongings in Utah, and opened a bike shop here in town. I've now made Leadville my home for the past 21 years and I'm not leaving! My dad once told me that if you can combine what you love to do with what you do for a living, you'll be just fine, and that is exactly what I am doing.

I took the long way around to get from Carbondale to Leadville. Having worked from the school bike shop and led the bike team to traveling for races and events trying to make a profit; eventually stuffy bike company corporate gigs that I think I learned a lot from. I am happy to call Leadville my home as it takes my breath away for many reasons. Being able to assimilate to Leadville and the Cycles of Life community, as they really inspire me to give back in a positive way. My better part Campy is thankfully always in tow. We are both big believers of loud music and earplugs. My favorite bikes to ride are never lite, as with my beverages.

Being from Vermont the outdoors has always been where I’ve felt most at home. After visiting Leadville and romping around the mountains, I knew it was where I wanted to call home. Shortly after moving, I graduated CMC with an Outdoor Recreation Leadership Degree. Bikes have always been a big part of my life, from riding to school as a kid, to dabbling in racing, and now fixing bikes. Ever since being old enough to work, I have found myself in bike or outdoor oriented stores. Many years later I still am, and I still LOVE IT!
